These trunks are from the Lucio Liguori set in our third collaboration with Le Sirenuse, the historic Positano hotel. Learn more about Lucio Liguori and the making of these trunks and matching shirt here. See the rest of our Le Sirenuse x Tombolo capsule here.
Made from a commissioned work of art by Lucio Liguori; we carefully transported his hand-painted tiles to New York, scanned them in high definition, digitally deconstructed the artwork and mapped it back onto these trunks.

SIZING
Ibere is 6 feet tall with a 30″ waist and is wearing size M trunks (he is also pictured wearing–and holding– the matching shirt in size M available here). Note: Ibere could have also worn a size S given his waist size. The elastic waistband on the swim trunks affords a good degree of flexibility between sizes.
Le Sirenuse — a storied hotel perched cliffside in Positano — is a place of otherworldly charm and beauty. Our goal has always been to infuse our ‘escapewear’ with the magic of a place like Le Sirenuse, and – with this collaboration – we were given the opportunity to drink straight from the source. You might say we got drunk off of it!
For round three of our collaboration with Le Sirenuse, we took a proverbial step back to enjoy the hotel from beyond the confines of the hotel’s four walls. The result: our ‘Finestra’ set which evokes a glance upward at the hotel’s iconic facade, our ‘Da Adolfo’ Cabana in collaboration with the timeless nearby restaurant, and the Lucio Liguori matching shirt and trunks…
For the Lucio Liguori set, we embarked on an ambitious ascent from paint to tiles to photographs to garments– not unlike the dauntingly steep Positano stairs that are depicted within. It was a winding path up, but the view at the summit was worth all the effort. We commissioned a work by Lucio Liguori, a local artist who is the master of one of the last remaining exports of the Amalfi Coast: hand-painted ceramics. Lucio’s unwavering vision and mercurial mindset made this a particularly fun project.
